Anna Mary O’Donnell, 84, of Lewistown, left her earthly body and was welcomed by her Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born July 28, 1938 in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Howard Paul and Aretta (Norris) McMinn.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; two siblings, Francis McMinn and Janet Kearns.
He survives; his daughter, Cynthia A. O’Donnell, of Lewistown; granddaughter, Casey Lakey; and brothers, Howard “Reggie” McMinn and wife, Joann, of Reedsville, and Melissa Parson and husband, Louie, of McClure; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Anna was a 1956 graduate of Chief Logan High School.
He was a devoted member of Parkview Church of the Brethren and loved his church family.
Anna worked at several jobs during her life, at Lewistown Hospital where she retired, Standard Steel Credit Union and finally Walmart.
She enjoyed watching and feeding birds, gardening and always kept an eye on the weather. She especially enjoyed spending time with her daughter and granddaughter and attending her granddaughter’s sporting events. He especially enjoyed an iced coffee that his granddaughter, Casey, would make him from Dunkin’ Donuts. Anna loved to bake cakes and looked forward to good morning text messages and pictures from her family members.
A viewing will be held from 6-8pm on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes Burnham, 108 First Ave., Burnham.
A second viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Parkview Church of the Brethren, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m., with Pastor Teresa Fink officiating.
Burial will follow in Birch Hill Cemetery.
