2024 Republican presidential hopeful Chris Christie blasted former President Donald Trump’s bid for the White House as a way to “undo” his 2020 defeat and doubled down on his support for FBI Director Christopher Wray.
“This is not someone who is fighting for the American people and their future,” Christie told “Fox News Sunday” host Shannon Bream of Trump’s run in 2024. “This is about his ego. The what matters most to him is trying to undo the loss he had to Joe Biden in 2020.”
“He’s a three-time loser, after he lost the House in 2018, he lost the White House and the Senate in 2020. And in 2022, he ended up losing two more governorships, another Senate seat, and with we barely won the House. by five votes … So he’s in this for himself and himself, and not for the American people,” Christie stated.
Bream questioned Christie on a recent poll that found most Republican voters would not consider voting for the former New Jersey governor and asked him if he threw his hat into the ring “simply as a spoiler for President Trump.” who is the current front-runner among the 2024 GOP candidates.

“These whistleblowers have come forward because the atmosphere has allowed this to happen now, not during the Comey era, not during the Loretta Lynch era when she was attorney general,” Christie continued. “And they weren’t blaming Hillary Clinton, which is what they should have done. You know, the fact is, these others in the race, they’re just looking for a scapegoat. They want to blame anybody. Well, I’ll do it. Say— who to blame. Blame Joe Biden and Merrick Garland, who have not provided the kind of leadership the country or the Justice Department needs.”
