In recent weeks, the transformation of Warner Bros. Discovery with DC Entertainment projects has caused a lot of confusion among fans and insiders.
It is now unclear to the public which projects will continue, as the new company has proven capable of fixing projects including Batgirl. Although the studio has now stated that a new 10-year plan for the DC Extended Universe is currently being developed. According to the Hollywood Reporter in the announcement, Warner had hinted that films based on Supergirl, Green Lantern Corps, and Static Shock were expected in the coming years.” However, with production and development currently slowed at the studio, it doesn’t appear that there are many signs of moving forward with these functions.
While this is the case, the studio has assured that several beloved projects from the DC world will be safe. Of those believed to be still in development, “multiple” James Gunn projects including season two pacifier. While there hasn’t been any additional information on which projects, it is confirmed that there are more coming from Gunn for the DC world. Besides, blue beetle has also been greenlit for a release date of August 2023. Stay tuned for more information.
