Kelly Rowland was scolded by Tina Knowles for her parenting decisions.
The 41-year-old pop star – who has seven-year-old Titan and 21-month-old Noah with husband Tim Weatherspoon – joked she had a ‘bad parenting time’ when she took her eldest son to see his new horror film “The Curse”. from Bridge Hollow’, which led his former Destiny’s Child bandmate, Beyonce’s mother, to question his actions.
She said: “I had a really bad parenting moment. I thought because I’m sitting right there with them we’re okay. But there’s a scene in a movie where the mom looks like she’s about to go to the other side and basically Titan goes. ‘Mom!’ Like it’s a whole launch.
“She cried for five minutes! She was like ‘Mama!’ it was like “Yo, I’m right here, I’m right here. I’m not going anywhere,” and he said, “No.” It was quite a moment.
“So I called my mom T, and she said, ‘Well, why the hell are you doing something like that?’ She didn’t understand why I even shot a movie. She said, ‘It’s Halloween, baby, don’t do that anymore!'”
The ‘Bootylicious’ hitmaker stars alongside Marlon Wayans in the film which sees a small town taken over by Halloween decorations come to life and explained that there was “more” to it than just a haunted town.
Speaking on ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’, she added: “So basically this new family moves to a new town and the town is enchanted. That’s all I’m going to say, but there’s ore. It’s really cool! “
Meanwhile, Kelly previously hailed Beyonce and Michelle as her children’s “amazing, amazing, amazing, amazing” aunts and explained how they rushed to meet Noah in person as soon as they could.
She said, “They knew him immediately.”
The ‘Dilemma’ hitmaker previously opened up about how she was overwhelmed with love when her bandmates met their son for the first time.
He said: “The girls were literally just here at home and when they met the baby, it was like another part of my heart… being able to share space with Michelle and Bey is truly a gift.”
