LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A furniture store in the southwest Las Vegas Valley is asking for the public’s help in finding the stolen trailer and what was inside.

Enrico Cairo, the owner of Brick and Mortarless Furniture on Dean Martin Drive, said he parked his trailer Friday afternoon, but hours later around 9 p.m., it was gone.

“We’re hoping for the best, but time will tell. It’s a shame things like this happen, it’s a very busy road you wouldn’t think this would happen,” Cairo said. “I had the trailer parked here with my jet ski, ready to take it somewhere for storage and I came back in the morning and the trailer was gone.”

The new jet ski was a green and black Yamaha GP-1800-R.

Cairo shared security footage of the incident with 8 News Now that showed a black pickup truck in the parking lot. Although the video never shows the truck driving off with the trailer, Cairo said he is certain the driver is the thief.

Cairo’s mother, Jodi Cairo, said this couldn’t have come at a worse time as they are preparing to move store locations. However, he acknowledges that now they will undoubtedly be more vigilant going forward.

“To think something could happen so fast,” Jodi Cairo said. “I think someone was watching. Lighting is very important and we will have better security and better cameras.”

For now, a police report has been filed and Cairo is asking the public for help.

If you have seen the trailer or jet ski, please contact LVMPD immediately. The Cairo family is offering a $1,000 reward.
