A chain of lifestyle and hospitality destinations, which plans to expand to Sandbanks and Branksome, has secured an £ 8.7 million investment from private equity firm IW Capital.
Rockwater is developing locations designed to be key centers in its communities, attracting visitors both locally and internationally.
It already operates in Hove, with the multi-million pound boost planned to enable the acquisition and development of two new beachfront catering establishments in Sandbanks and Branksome.
The two main buildings will become lifestyle destinations that include restaurants, bars and event spaces.
The additional assets of each site will also be renewed and redesigned in the style of Hove’s Shacks by the Shore, all of which will be renamed Rockwater.
Luke Davis, CEO and founder of Rockwater, said: “Following the excellent success of Rockwater Hove, we are proud to now announce the next phase of the Rockwater, Rockwater Sandbanks & Branksome brand.
“Covering two seafront venues: Branksome and Sandbanks cafes, the two venues will be linked by the Rockwater Village concept.
“The new sites will completely change the way these waterfronts operate, offering a high-profile, community-driven hospitality experience.”
Tariq Attia, director of IW Capital, added: “This investment comes after the brand has already established an iconic location successfully and iconic with Rockwater in Hove, and we look forward to the expansion of this exciting concept of life.
“The funds will be used to develop two beachside locations that have been acquired in Branksome and Sandbanks, making them some of the most modern and elegant lifestyle destinations on the South Coast.”
