LOVE Island fans were out of it when the first look of next season aired during Britain’s Got Talent.
The dating show phenomenon will start again next month and the unexpected teaser delighted the fans.
It showed a clay scene with a person swimming in the pool doing “salmon diving”.
The teaser also paid tribute to Millie Court’s iconic moment last season when she played the keyboard and instantly became a meme.
Declaring “Love we own it”, the teaser also played the recognizable music of the series, much to the delight of fans watching at home.
“Love Island has to come back, we all know that tune,” one person tweeted.
Another added: “I just saw the first announcement that the island of love will be back soon … And I’m absolutely here for that.”
“I just heard that magical summer noise …”
A privileged person said: “Love Island is back with a bang and will start the second full week of June.
“Schedules are now being prepared and fans can look forward to a long, hot summer of fun in the village starting June 6th.
“Filming of promotional ads will begin in the coming weeks and ads will begin in May.
“This series is going to be the longest in history and it’s in a whole new location, so it’s very exciting.”
It comes after traders have been busy working this week preparing the new Love Island village for the launch of the 2022 series.
The Mallorcan rustic refuge seems less striking than the previous series, but it still has a charm of its own that could be added to the romance of ITV’s dating show.
Construction is well underway on the six-bedroom rural property with the exterior covered with scaffolding.
The villa is set amidst lush vegetation and at the foot of a large hill.
The old Sant Llorenç des Cardassar villa, which hosted contestants for five years, was sold for a whopping £ 3 million.
We recently revealed that the new Love Island series will begin on Monday, June 6th.
A Love Island spokesman said: “It’s too early to confirm the programming for the 2022 series.”
Love Island, which started in June 2015, is still a huge hit and is the most popular show for 16 to 34 year olds.
Presenter Laura Whitmore returns to present the new series, after signing a £ 500,000 deal last month.
Earlier this week, The Sun also revealed the first contestant to be chased by Love Island bosses.
Beautician Sophie Draper, 22, dated Aston Villa right-back Matty Cash for four years before her sudden separation last year and has now reunited with ITV chiefs who believe which is the “perfect fit” for the dating program.
A television source said: “Sophie is a beautiful girl who is very motivated and determined to succeed.
“She has her own beauty salon and already has a jet set lifestyle, which she likes to show off on Instagram, so it wouldn’t be disconcerting to be on TV.
“Love Island leaders think it could be a good option for the show, it’s still in its infancy, but it definitely has potential.
“Matty will be quite surprised to see her looking for love on television, but she publicly went pretty fast.”
