A 16-year-old boy stabbed to death in Bath on Saturday has been named by police.

Mikey Roynon, of Kingswood, was found by emergency services at an address on Eastfield Avenue. He died at the scene.

An autopsy found that he died from a single stab wound.

Eight teenagers arrested on a bus less than 30 minutes after the incident have been released and will face no further action

Three boys, a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old from Wiltshire and a 15-year-old from Dorset, were arrested on Sunday on suspicion of murder.

Detective Inspector Mark Newbury, of Avon and Somerset Police, said: “Mikey’s family have been informed of these events and our thoughts continue to be with them as they come to terms with their loss.

“Specialist family liaison officers supported them through the formal identification process, which is something no family should have to experience.”

He said police were working “tirelessly to piece together what happened”.

A cordon is being maintained at the scene and anyone with images, video or information is being asked to get in touch.
