RDLM architecture was founded in the 1950s by the architect Eduardo Lacerda Machado. In 1976 he was joined by his son, Rui, and the company grew. More than 40 years later, RDLM continues its exceptional work, led by Eduardo’s grandson, Diogo Lacerda Machado.
Diogo graduated from the University of Lusiada in Portugal in 2006, after having done his final year in Venice IUAV under the ERASMUS program. He leads a team of young associate architects, all trained in the best Portuguese architecture schools. Together they are committed to maintaining the highest standards in every project while delivering their unique vision. Headquartered in Espinho, Portugal, the firm also has a presence in Lisbon, a partner in Greece, and will soon take on projects in Mozambique and Angola.
In association with Onda Verde, the company has been notably recognized for two outstanding residential developments in Espinho, Portugal. Designed to create an iconic building in a unique location in the city with its panoramic sea views, the walkway The development consists of 15 apartments. The striking building is constructed of exposed concrete in two different tones.
The Marnoso The building is inspired by the modernist architecture of the 70s with its fusion of modern and classic styles. It houses 10 apartments skilfully finished with tiles to maintain the historical concept of the city. Both developments illustrate this RDLMthe passion for high-standard design solutions while creating architecture that shapes the future.
