As Ukraine mobilizes fighters for a spring counterattack and a commander warns that Russia is strengthening its Bakhmut front line, leaked US intelligence documents indicate that Kiev is facing a shortage of ammunition and weapons Western air defense. The United States is seeking the source of the documents, which appear to detail classified information about Ukraine, Russia and other countries.

“Previously, officials could only deliver drafts to people’s homes. … But the new rules have expanded the scope of places where men can be stopped and questioned about their draft status,” they write.
Martial law, in force since last year, prevents most men between the ages of 18 and 60 from leaving the country. Those exempt from the policy include students and caregivers of disabled dependents.
