Signia Augmented Xperience (AX) hearing aid users can now monitor their fitness levels while gaining meaningful information about their hearing health
TORONTO, Sept. 13, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Hearing aid innovator Signia is launching My WellBeing, a new app-based toolkit designed to improve the hearing health of Signia hearing aid users by encouraging more consistent use and extended hearing. devices The tool, available through the Signia app, offers four features that help users stay motivated to stay physically active and engage in social interactions while wearing the hearing aids.
In addition to helping patients hear better, Signia AX’s built-in motion sensors now allow users to see exactly how many steps they take each day via the My steps feature in the My WellBeing app. Additional features My activity, my wear time i My conversations help monitor physical activity, time you wear your hearing aids, and time spent interacting with others. All user data is only stored and visible in the Signia app.

Initial consumer testing by Signia revealed that the new My WellBeing features increased users’ engagement with their hearing aids, encouraging them to use their devices more consistently. If left untreated, hearing loss could put you at greater risk of cognitive impairment and dementia.
Studies have shown that age-related hearing loss can be slowed with better physical activity and better cardiovascular health. In addition, the use of fitness trackers, such as those included in the My WellBeing tool, has been scientifically proven to help maintain and improve physical activity.
Social interactions also play an important role in achieving holistic well-being.
