Return of Open Streets
Sunday noon to 5 p.m., Douglas from Glenn to Bluff
Open Streets, the big annual street party that closes 4.1 miles of Douglas to traffic and fills it with cyclists, walkers, live music, dancing, yoga demonstrations, street vendors and brings back food for delivery from autumn sunday The event will run from noon to 5pm on Douglas from Bluff Street in College Hill to Glenn Street in Delano. Kansas Railfest
Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Great Plains Transportation Museum, 700 E. Douglas
Kansas Railfest, an event of the Great Plains Transportation Museum, takes place Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the museum in downtown Wichita. Train lovers will enjoy the music, displays, vendors and train rides. Admission is $7 for ages 13 and up and free for ages 12 and under with an adult. Train tickets are $5 extra for ages 3 and up. ICT Latinfest
11 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturday, Old Town Square, 301 N. Mead
Latinfest ICT, a celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, takes place Saturday in Wichita’s Old Town Square and will feature a tribute to “Latinos on Broadway,” dance, Latin hip hop, authentic Latin food, vendors, a live salsa band, drinks for adults. and more It lasts from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and entry is free. No coolers or pets allowed.

Two big shopping events are happening this weekend in Wichita. One is the monthly Wichita Flea Market, which will take place Saturday from 9am to 5pm and Sunday from 10am to 4pm at the Farha Sports Center at the South YMCA. Admission is $3 for a one-day pass and $5 for a two-day pass. Children under 12 enter for free. In addition, the September installment of the Festive ICT Shop and Flea Market at Naftzger Park, 601 E. Douglas, will take place right in the middle of the ICT Open Streets event. It’s from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will include vendors, music, food and more. Entry is free.
50th Festival of the Vall de la Noguera
Through Sunday, Winfield Fairgrounds, Winfield
Winfield’s 50th Walnut Valley Festival continues through Sunday at the Winfield Fairgrounds, and weekend attractions include performances by John McCutcheon and Rhonda Vincent & The Rage on Friday and the National Flat Pick Guitar Championships and a performance by Bela Fleck Saturday. Last chance for the State Fair

The Kansas State Fair ends its 10-day run on Sunday, but there’s still time to catch some of the highlights. Friday will feature a gig in the Tech N9ne Grandstand at 7pm and Saturday headliners will be TI with Chingy at 7pm. From Friday through Sunday, fairgoers can still see pig races, butter sculpture, the comic hypnotist and more. Door hours are 7:00am to 10:00pm on Friday and Saturday and 7:00am to 6:00pm on Sunday. Friday through Sunday, Bradley Fair Parkway, 21st and Rock
The annual Autumn & Art festival organized by Wichita Festivals Inc. returns this weekend and will be set up Friday through Sunday on Bradley Fair Parkway, just east of the Bradley Fair Mall at 21st and Rock. The event, an outdoor art show and sale featuring art in 12 different media, kicks off Friday with a $150-per-person patrons party that includes food, drink and live music. Admission is free from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays, when attendees can shop, play lawn games, and enjoy live entertainment and music.
