Anupriya Patel made these remarks on Wednesday during a virtual speech at the 21st Meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Ministers responsible for Foreign Economy and Foreign Trade.

The minister mentioned the opportunities available in the SCO region for mutually beneficial, balanced and equitable gains for all SCO members, according to a press release from the Ministry of Commerce. He emphasized the need for effective cooperation among the OCS Member States for balanced and equitable growth of trade and commerce.
He stressed the importance of collective efforts to achieve balanced and equitable economic growth by making trade an engine for reactivating growth and an engine for economic recovery. He stressed that trust and transparency determine the sustainability of world trade and the preservation of the fundamental principles and objectives of the multilateral trading system.
